Semala is a brand created by Karin Wijaya and Katarina Lauresia as a project for Sustainable Fashion project.
Semala is a brand focusing on sustainable but fashionable bags, Semala uses scraps of Lasem Batik as it's focal point to show people that waste can be turned into somehting beautiful and useful, it is also a way to promote the cuture of batik especially Lasem's batik that is unique and intricate that is unfortunately becoming rarer and rarer as the years go by due to the lack of demand.
