There was this local competition that I came across. It was to create a vector design, on the theme 'Cute Animals'. I thought, well, that's very cliché. What are people going to make? Puppies and kittens? I think, how can I make this cliché theme one step ahead? Then I got the idea of endangered animals of Indonesia. Indonesia has a vast diversity of wildlife, unfortunately a lot of them are unnoticed. I want to create awareness for these species. Indonesians need to know how wonderful their wildlife actually is, and how they are endangered.
Since I actually have a soft spot for cute things, I have no problem of sketching out these mammals to be cute.
