Ten film poster recreations in the style and technique of the original.
Ten film posters set as a student project, in and an attempt to help understand techniques in computer graphics with concern to duplicating film posters that already exist from every decade from the past century. The process involved the students organising the film shoot, taking and manipulating the photographs, and adding any additional touches in illustrator or photoshop. In addition the film posters had to carry authentic logos and icons, that had to be researched and found in vector form.
The following posters are from my attempt to show the students the process at hand, and how to achieve the results of mimicking the original posters. Some of which were not exact duplications, but as this project was an attempt the parody the original, it was more about technique than actual duplication.
The films date back as far as 1910 and had to be one from each decade.
