Project: Easy Alphabet
11/7/18

The project easy alphabet was designed explore typographic concepts in terms of modularity. The main idea was illustrated by creating a system of limited shapes that was used in creation of an entire alphabet. The initial process began with taking the four-letter, word flit and translating it into a design that was both cohesive and fits the word. The next progression of the project was to translate the word into an object. The object that best illustrated flit, which is a word that means to move swiftly and lightly, was ballet shoes. The audience, which can be anyone from the general public to an experienced designer can benefit from the positive and negative space aware, and easily readable design. The final project was created with an angle drawn on paper so that the entire system of slants was uniform, adding to the overall cohesive look.
