Traci's Place: Breakfast Specials
Traci's Place is a breakfast and lunch restaurant/catering service in rural Pennsylvania. As a family dining establishment, Traci's Place takes inspiration from its country surroundings and combines it with a friendly and intimate atmosphere.
The specials are posted, typically weekly, on the business Facebook page. Instead of simply providing text information to customers, we opted for a visual representation. I wanted to keep the same feel as the white board that houses their specials on-location. The dusty chalkboard feels causal and is on-trend with many eateries. I wanted go with yellow chalk, as opposed to white, to create a less harsh and more hand drawn feel. The fonts mimic handwriting and perhaps what one might freehand as "Word Art" for the heading. While not having quite the same hand-crafted feel, the boarders are a bit of fun, interest, and a complete the look; fusing hand-crafted and digital art themes.
