Meet Murthy, a friend I found in Bangalore. At first glance he just seemed like a simple small shop owner. Selling cigarettes, notebooks, toffees and other inconsequential things. But little did I know that behind his warm welcoming simple face lied a professional photographer, a gardening enthusiast and a father.
He's been photographing for more than 25 years now.
"these days even a 7 year old with a smart phone calls himself a photographer" he said.
I simply nodded to his distaste for the state of modern photography.
He struggled with hindi and english, and I didn't know a word in kannad but still many stories were shared that day.
One of his most prized possessions. He's been using this camera for more than 20 years now.
"These berries will rid you of all your stomach issues"
Even though I wasn't sure about this, I did try a few of those berries.
