Tanjong Pagar Railway Station, Singapore / Concept
The Big Picture : Diagrams above depicts the Green, Heritage Corridor Proposal, bridging Transport, Heritage and Nature.
With means of promoting cycling as an alternative form of transport in the Garden City, the undeveloped Railway Lands has been the chosen location for the start of this new form of urban commuting. After the railway services ceased operations, this plot of land has not been developed. Tanjong Pagar Railway Station, being the southern terminus of the line has not been given proper usage as well. The heritage site has hence been chosen to be the scope of this project.

The first storey of the workshop space used mainly as a gallery as well as a multi-purpose events and exhibition space. After going through the heritage museum, this gallery showcases modern day bicycles, enthusiasts present can hence share their knowledge with the interested public.
An overview of the second and third storey workshop and maintenance space. The entire space is linked up with diagonal ramps, forming an endless connection. The voids between the levels ensures visual continuity throughout the space. Enthusiasts may come together to build their own bicycles, sharing their knowledge and experiences with each other.
The Station Cafe, a location for people to meet and interact, or just as a rest pit-stop for commuters. A subtle addition of wood is used throughout the design to ensure it corresponds well with the existing building material.
Train cabins are brought in to provide extra dining spaces, it adds on to the whole dynamic of the location, an unique train dining experience.
