First Up-cycled Art; personal project on a large scale (process below). Drawing an image onto a grid on a piece of 36"x24" Bristol paper. Using printed media cut out and rubber cemented on. Florence Welch of the band "Florence + the Machine" is one of my favorites. I've been a fan since 2011, I finished this in 2015, and seen her live (at the time of start) twice. I found the image online and thought it perfectly encapsulated my vision of her. Her voice is so powerful and heavenly that, in addition to her song "Cosmic Love" (my favorite) it was the reason for the background. The blue went well with her skintone and hair, but [to me] represented how calmly she spoke but the motion captured her dancing on stage.
