Tackling the idea of making a statement through pattern/imagery
We were tackling the opioid epidemic so I tried to incorporate the tools used in order to take the drug and hint at what starts it. A large fraction of addicts start via pain killers and are hooked from there so after watching an HBO documentary on Cape Cod, I used the cast to represent the simple/innocent gateway into ones addiction.

Final Pattern. Patterns aren't my strong suit and coming up with ideas was rough so I'm pretty happy with how it came out
