Despite the grandeur and darkly elegant aesthetic of the fey courts in Swatzen, all these don't really apply to those who fight for them. The fey Footmen of the Unseelie Courts are, at best, the filthiest creatures in the darkest Feygrove and a stark contrast when compared with their Seelie Court counterparts. Hedonistic and orgiastic yet strangely stalwart in times of great crisis, these citizen soldiers patrol the borders of the Feygrove, denying Seelie Court intrusions and ambushing Outland spies and mercenaries out to disintegrate the Unseelie. Although underpowered and with a lack of discipline when compared to troops from other factions, they nevertheless had the environmental and manpower advantage, fighting a fierce but failing guerilla warfare in the deep forests for the glory of the Unseelie.
This is a first look and one of the character designs for one of my personal project, which (could be) a picture book with narrative called "Spriggan". It is now still in the conceptual phase yet, so stay tuned for more updates on the progress.
