Travel Photography Highlights - Bicol Hometown

Photographed and post-processed by: Joan Michaela Aguila

Location of shoot: various sites in Bicol region.
Camera used: Canon EOS 500d

Project Description: The photographer was tasked to travel around local whereabouts in the Bicol region and document the short vacation for her class project. The following are the travel highlights.
First Photo: An old train station stop, the area is located near the Municipality of Ragay. Our family used to ride the trains years before when we still had no car. Now, time had worn down this nostalgic structure.
Second Photo: My older brother and his girlfriend walking down the beach side together. It's her first time visiting our province and second home. The afternoon sun blankets the whole sea side with bright warm glow.
Third Photo: This is where we usually shop for fresh fish. Brightly colored boats remain immovable due to the low tide. Scattered coconut husks and ocean debris unfortunately litter the shallow shore line.
Fourth Photo: Panicuason Hot Spring Resort, a local resort located on the foot of Mt. Isarog, Naga city. Known for its fresh cascading waters, and various pools of different temperature, this resort is the typical short vacation get away for most locals in the area. The continued renovations are designed to accommodate more guests of all ages.
