Beer Bottle Branding

This class project was to propose a redesign of beer bottle labels for a small microbrewery. The brief was to keep the design simple, using dark bottles, geometric designs and to make it eye catching.

The first designs drew on maps of the area, geometrical shapes, barley, standing stones from the local area and dice - taken from the name (Luckie Ales - in the initial stages I was asked to keep the name confidential so it did not appear on the first design proposal).
Further options were requested exploring the standing stones and the barley, and a request for chevrons was included.
The final proposal, took the design of the barley further and removed the paper label and instead, printed directly onto the glass. The vertical line emphasised the height of the bottle and ensured that it would stand out from bottles that only had a paper label.
