After moving house none of our pieces of furniture fitted conveniently for our TV and consoles. We also wanted to utilise our floor and wall space as much as possible. The result is this bold navy blue on the wall and chunky rustic shelves.

Each shelf is made of 2" x 8" solid hardwood joists. Working with wood of this size was a new experience but I think I managed pretty well. I also hadnt worked on solid brick walls before so I researched the best way to drill into it and what raw plugs to use before getting started.

Each of the lower shelves also has a 45 degree angle cut into the back corners to allow the passage of cables.
