As a hobby, I make chainmaille of all different weaves and patterns. I always start with wire, coil it, then cut it into rings with wire cutters or a jewelers saw. Most of what I make is bracelets to sell or give as gifts, but other objects come of it as well. Occasionally, I've also mixed chainmaille with leather and spikes or beads.
