This single piece "SILK" is part of an ongoing series I call "FLOWER DAZE," digital art created from floral photography and edited using only Photoshop. This image is simply one photograph of flowers, manipulated to look like silky fabric from another world. Photographing flowers allows me to capture a single moment in time, and creating art using this imagery allows me to be closer to one of my favorite ephemeral subjects. I can then warp this unique moment into something unrealized in nature, adding colors and textures from another world.
This series taught me to be more adventurous with my work. I thought I knew everything there was to know about Photoshop, but once I allowed myself to explore and play with no set, intended outcome - I created some amazing art! I hope that sharing my art with others helps to motivate and inspire them to create art of their own.
