Cigarettes & Daily Thoughts // sketchbook

I never had a diary and I was never one of those people who would write about the things happening in their lives into a notebook. Also, I'm pretty unorganized with sketchbooks. Usually I have couple of them and they are filled with drawings, quotes, random thoughts, to do lists etc. Sometimes it happens that some of them end up forgotten or half empty. But, it's interesting to check out some of these old drawings from time to time and remind yourself how thoughts, mood or life in general intervene with your creative impulse. This is one of the successful attempts to actually fill a notebook from first to last page. The particular sketchbook was a part of my routine, boring classes or evenings at home from October 2017 until February 2018. Drawings were inspired by winter mood, cigarette addiction, music or movies (I stole some inspiring words, I have to admit - but with the drawings they do create another story and have become a part of a different context).

// Found a cure for loneliness I'm forever immune
// now he's taken a ride on a lonely,
   lonely sunset drive
// tiles at the Funk bar upstairs (*rhymes in Croatian)
// Could you pass me the cigarette darling?
// Winter was coming... all she needed was her pack of cigarettes
// Could you pass me the cigarette?
   A cigarette per day makes me feel yay!
   A cigarette for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday x 15
// Could you pass me the cigarette darling?
// young&wild cryer
// A pack of cigarettes and a corner where I could hide from the rest of the world, please.
// Winter...full of cigarettes
// Take of your boots and smoke a cigarette, girl.
// People thought he was weird just cause he wasn't into this Christmas shit.
// boobycatcher
// When did everything start having an expiration date?
// It ain't me babe.
// She was sure she'd stop waiting... but first she had a cigarette to finish.
// Lonely? You look like a mess. Cold? I'll warm you up.
// There are only three reasons a woman would be wearing shades this late.
   First, she's blind.
   Second, she's a poseur.
   or third, she got jilted and doesn't want the people to see she's been crying.
// February?
// My poetry was lousy you said.
// Positive or negative?
// The end.
