Initial Logo

For the drop cap project, I first created 100 thumbnail images of the letter "J", my first initial, in order to conceptualize and ideate a creative process and steady workflow for the later stages of this project. Once I created a process that worked for me, I moved on to the illustrator stage, where we practiced using the line drawing tools to create shapes, which I used for the creation of the image I had chosen.

I chose to use the image of a scythe in the form of the letter J, something that I thought was fairly minimal in presentation and clever, as well as representing my personal aesthetics very well.
