Promotional Materials for Theaters & Arts Organizations

As an actress in the Atlanta theater community, I often donate my graphics skills to design a variety of items for several area theaters, including advertising posters, program books, promotional flyers and postcards.

Collaborating with the Producer, Director and Marketing Coordinator, I read the script and discuss the creative vision for each production. I then design each piece to reflect and support the key themes put forth by the playwright. After the print promos are designed and approved, I then adapt each design for inclusion on each theater’s website, email marketing blasts, and social media accounts, thus helping the organization utilize the additional, cost-effective promotional opportunities available online.

The design for The Woman in Black is of particular note. I happened to be at the theatre one night when an audience member asked the director/producer for his own copy of the promo poster. After the director introduced us and gave the gentleman the poster, the gentleman then explained he had actually seen the original production of "The Woman in Black" in London's West End not long ago. Not only did he feel our production was much more bone chilling and scary, but also that the promotional graphics were much more reflective of the thrilling content of the show, and he just had to have a copy for himself. He then asked me to autograph his copy of the poster, which was a huge compliment.
