REWIND MAG
Rewind Magazine caters to early to mid-life adults, ages 25-40. These alternative trend-setters treasure anything nostalgic, specifically in analog media. The design choices for this commercial publication will reflect our target group’s creative and retrospective views.

The magazine’s nameplate emulates classically learned cursive handwriting that is also a part of an audio tape coming out of a cassette. Cover art will appear as a tritone image with one feature highlighted in a solid silhouette, all contained within the image mask of Rewind’s cassette shape. The negative space outside the cassette shape will contrast the details within the tritone image, inviting the reader to explore its contents.

The magazine’s spine system continues the colour scheme and type from each cover, with the highlighted issue numbers lining up diagonally when a reader collects all issues and puts them together in sequence. The contents of each magazine will feature stories and images reflecting our audience’s offbeat and relaxed energy, allowing them to further enjoy the time they find to rewind.
