A recently completed Open Ended Slipcase for the 1st American cloth edition of Tolkien's, '' The Hobbit '', (Unwin 1957).  Not the most well looked after copy it must be stated; nevertheless, it is of great sentimental worth to the client. Primarily though the book's inherent bibliographical value does certainly justify this form of protection. A simple harmony of Dark Green, Premium OLB Buckram and Beige Loom State Union Fabric edging to complement the original covering materials. (Private Client, London).
