100 years of suffrage
Posters were created to commemorate and mark the 100 Years of Suffrage centenary. In 1918, following years of struggle, abuse and degradation, (some) women finally gained the right to vote.
This poster design reflects on the different roles women play, and how important it is to have a voice in this world.
In the UK the colours green, white and purple were the colours of the Women's Social and Political Union. Purple for Dignity, White for Purity and Green for Nature.
