‘Alice’ Acrylics on acid free illustration board - 21 x 29 cm
'Alice' was a demo piece for one of my photorealistic workshops. I always told my students (I still do) that it is not my intention to teach them about 'art'. My intention is to teach them how to see, how to understand and dissect reality and how to recreate that on your board or canvas using several techniques.
If it was up to me, every art student should have to master photorealism before graduation because you can only improvise on reality if you understand and master it first (it’s easier than most people think).
