Thousands of young hands are silently shaping a better India. Among them are “Team Balika” – a group of passionate community volunteers who fight a strong, long-prevailing mind-set issue as they go from one home to another, convincing parents of out-of-school girls to send their daughters to school.
We introduce you to three inspiring change-makers - Ansi (19), Nanalal (23) and Madhuri (26)– who champion the cause of girl child education in their respective villages. What motivates them to lend their support is a story best told by them.
Over 11,000 such Team Balika members are associated with Educate Girls. Together they have enrolled over 200,000 girls and helped ensure over 90% retention as well as enhanced learning outcomes for all children across 21,000 schools in rural Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
