Magazine Cover
I found an issue of Australasian TaeKwonDo and thought I would try redesigning cover.
The original cover featured Hae Man Park in a very still looking, standing pose. TaeKwonDo deals heavily with leg techniques so I wanted to feature a kicking pose with more energy. However, I kept Hae Man Park on the cover to respect the grand master and show him passing on his knowledge to a new generation.
I also added more texture to the background by replacing the original solid color with a more interesting texture. I remade the magazines logo to be more pleasing, as well. The old logo had a kicking figure, but it was so abstract in look that I wasn't sure what it was until I kept looking at it over and over again.
