or my event I chose to do Boston Calling. Boston Calling is an annual music festival that takes place every year in Boston. Current and former posters for the event have often featured a Boston Terrier wearing a fedora-like hat, playing on irony. Sticking with that theme, I attempted to push the irony into a more literal form of a 'vintage' telephone with an illustrated rendering of the cities skyline behind it, featuring some notable landmarks. Moving up from the skyline is the type 'BOSTON CALLING' and below I used the phones numbers to inform poster viewers of when the music festival is taking place through a grid system. To the sides of the phone are all of the musical acts. The headliners and more notable performers are in the larger typeface and the type simultaneously descends with less notable acts. Alright, to be honest, the artists are in no particular order. Some are even on the basis of my personal bias.
