Aitne
Aetne (Greek: Αἴτνη) was in Greek and Roman mythology a Sicilian nymph. Mount Etna in Sicily was believed to have derived its name from her.
The mountain itself was believed to be the place in which Hephaestus and the Cyclops made the thunderbolts for Zeus.

THE IDEA

During my lunch break at my university's lab I brought my meal to the microwave as always. Αs I set the timer  nothing happened and I realized that our microwave was broken. As an industrial design student I stared at my lunch, and pondered how I could solve this problem. Although instead of focusing on fixing the microwave I thought, there just had to be a better way. What if the plate  itself could warm my food? And what about a plate that could warm my food even when I was somewhere without electricity? At that moment "Aitne" was born. A battery equipped lunchbox that warms your food anywhere, anytime.
