2012 Marketing Campaign for commonvision // Promotions

This project was an overall marketing campaign for commonvision : UMBC Design & Print Center, which is where I have my graduate assistantship. As we grow and expand, we begin to do more work for individual groups on campus. Below are the five most important aspects and areas that we work in. Each poster/t-shirt/video is meant to represent that aspect on campus and how we assist them.
Departments. To represent the academic and adminstrative side of UMBC, I used symbols like a ruler, an apple, books, technology, art supplies, and science-y things.
Events. Over the last couple of years, the events department within our building has really grown. Their branding is all this very deep rich blue, which I tried to represent here. I used symbols like a magicians hat and an amp to represent the varied kinds of events that we have here, while also inserting various food items and fun elements to represent why students REALLY go to events.
Student Life. This can mean so many things! From sitting in your dorm room playing video games, to going to club meetings and study halls, and everywhere inbetween. I tried to represent the best of UMBC's student life here.
The Commons. This is the building in which we are housed in, and we do a ton of marketing and branding around every aread within it. I have chosen to use elements from logos from different departments in the building while also using symbols like balloons and speakers to represent the fun, student centric, and energetic side to us.
UMBC. As an office we see the campus in a very particular way. I have chosen symbols like the retreiver and chess to represent the outward identity of UMBC, while also throwing in some good inside jokes (squirrels!).
These were t-shirt designs made for our staff to wear. They were printed through Suitcha, a local screen printing shop.
A sample of my favorite vectors that I made for this project. From left to right : Jackalope, D&D dice, Tardis, Nerd Pocket, Mason Jar.
