A Portrait of The Artist As A Young Man came out in 1915, over 100 years ago, and is today considered a classic. Publication upon publication has been made of this book. I decided to play on a theme and expand it: I recolored a photograph of a young James Joyce and tried to turn it into a painting. I also used Joyce's own signature.
On the back cover I used a photograph of Joyce when he is much older, and holding his own grandson in his arms. This was mainly to play with that relationship between what many would consider those 3 stages of life.
