Industrial & Website Design - The Black Box
Sentimental objects have a direct documentation and remembrance purpose, and are a way of storing and accessing information. As the role of technology is continually evolving, faults begin to occur when outdated storage mechanisms become unreadable, and stored information is lost. The idea of replacing the form of true online identities, and representing these with physical memories tries to solidify information is always physically accessible.
The essential purpose of these black-box designs will focus on the process of formulating information, which is individual and unique to any other person, as it can be collected as artefacts and used within different contexts. These contexts include displaying, or integrating and purposefully interacting with the physical object or display. I want to reinforce the idea of an individual leaving a true identity behind, therefore a real representation of the self, as current and future generation will be presented with a true representation of personal memories and information.
