ARTSPIRATION - HUGGING ARTS
Hugging Arts is an art piece created for RTHK’s Artspiration event. We wanted to break the barrier between the people and art world. We pulled the art work away from a museum and put it in the center of a community, letting people touch and interact with it. A box is placed right in the center of the center region of Tsim Sha Tsui, visitors could walk up to the box and hug the box. The box will sense the hug, and open its lid, and at the same time, a tank of nitrogen gas will fill up a balloon inside the box. Then the visitors could take away the balloon.
