For the Inspire line of telescopes, I was tasked with re-designing the best selling line of Telescopes (Astromaster) for Celestron. This involved intensive testing and identifications of issues with the current line. Once all the results were compiled, I created the new design, including the asymetrical mount, and invented the patented smartphone adapter/ dust cover. After the initial concept design and creation, the project was handed off to in-house mechanical engineering and the Astronomy Product Manager for final production.
