During the summer of 2016 i started to draw my first typeface. The name Lemons comes from the fact that I was having lemon tea when I started the first letter.

So far this typeface only exists in one weight but I'm currently working on a bold. The idea with the font was to create a feeling of that some shapes had been cut of with a very sharp knife to create different and interesting gap forms between the letters and characters. Lemons is designed for headlines and preambles mainly. There won't be a bodytext function for this type until I've designed the first light or thin weight for it.

To design a typeface is time consuming work, you can imagine all the letters in the alphabet has to be in there, both small and big characters, as well as numbers, cyrillics if you want it to work for specific languages and other special characters as well as italics versions for each weight.

A complete font/typeface contains standardly between 4-6 weights, but a "superfamily" can contain over 20 different weights with all it's special functions and options. To draw a complete typeface can take a long time, and to keep it updated even longer.

Inbox me or send me a request at jansson.jesper@kent.nu if you're interested in using this typeface.
