I was asked by a program coordinator at my alma mater to create a logo design for Upward Bound. Upward Bound is an extensions of the TRiO program on campus, which offers academic support, financial counseling, and many other services to first generation students. The goals of these programs are to encourage first generation students who may not have the support they need outside of school to continue their education.

Being a member of TRiO myself, I saw the positive impact it had on member's lives. Many students in the program graduated with me and shared their struggles in continuing their education, but overall were proud of themselves for earning their degrees. 

Creating this logo was important to me because I wanted to give back to the program that had given so much to me. I decided the best route to take for this design would be to give it a more urban theme with bright colors. The youth the program seeks out can relate to the trendiness of the design.
