Plus Points: A learning tool to help children build self-esteem

An increasing number of children of Primary School education are suffering from low self-esteem. This can have a negative impact on learning, friendships and ability to learn from mistakes.

Learning tools are a popular way for children to explore new concepts and ideas.
Idea
Plus Points is an educational tool that takes the notion of 'building' self-esteem and translates it into a literal activity. Working in pairs, each child has a tray of 18 cubes with positive characteristics. They select attributes which describe their partner and build these into the shape of a 'plus.' Swapping models means the children learn about the importance of building self esteem, whilst also having their own self-esteem built.
