I worked with a partner to create a music video for the song Clean Freak by Vocaloid. My partner,she focused more on drawing and editing. While I focused more on animating and filming.

The animation shows people running a race, but then the race disappear. Following the lyrics of the song.

I drew the rain drops and the sun on Illustrator then moved it to Adobe After Effects to animate it to move down. I learned how by watching a video on youtube.

After my friend was finished drawing, I had to move it to photoshop to make the drawing into different layers to be able to animate it. Afterwards I would move it to After Effects and animate it there. Depending on the scene, I would move the images to make someone running or have something disappear.I would do this for every animated scene.  Then,I would move it to imovie to clip and change the speed of the video to one that would fit for the video.  Lastly, I would send the video for my friend to edit into the video.

For the filming, most scenes took place indoors,but some took place outside. For example,my friend was filming me outside slamming the rock to pieces with a hammer for one scene. Another scene that was shot outside was the scene of falling to the ground. To do this I tied a piece of string to my ipod and lowered it off a small bridge in a park.

After finishing the animations and filming,all the videos were sent to my friend to edit into the video.

Music Video Assignment: The music video I created with Christine expresses how society and humanity is seen by an introvert. The lies and what humanity actually is. The boy in the video is the introvert that wants to be clean from all emotions, interactions, and relationships because he sees them as the dirt of humanity that society sets. The colors represents the dirty lies, emotions, interactions, and relationships. And the crumpled paper ball represents people who have tried to interact with the boy, but was rejected and thrown in the trash. It could also represent society. How it’s always a mess. 
 
What I did:
Illustrations of the boy and others.
Filming of Christine dropping books and painting colours.
Editing the videos in Adobe After Effects with the corner pin to animate the illustrated rock to drop and used the zoom in and out transition for some of the images. 
Putting the videos together in iMovie by using the transitions, the colour of the videos, and colliding the 2 videos together by lowering one of the video’s opacity.
Edited the audio to make the song shorter by cutting some of lyrics out.
