YAS is a brand created by a renowned Yoga guru ‘Kimberly Fowler’ based in USA. The brief was to convert some highly professional and design intensive Creative depicting an entire static looking site, into a dynamic website.
We created every different page type (ranging from [reasonably] static pages to highly editable time-based media gallery). The entire website including background graphics, to inline page graphics, inline text components and image slideshows can be managed from the backend. We also created sections in the backend to manage and create custom post types including blog posts, events, trainings, workshops, forms, FAQs, testimonials (including video), and jobs.
The site makes extensive use of Javascript, jQuery, Ajax and also HTML5 to some extent. We also created a simple mobile-friendly page with contact details.
Meta boxes are coded to manage inline page content. Custom slideshows and image galleries are created, and a great deal of PHP wizardry in the backend adds up to a great looking package. The website connects to Mindbodyonline a third party tool for batch scheduling and purchase of certain types of products such as Training and Events.
The site also has a Shop section for making online purchase of Yoga Clothing, Accessories, Books, DVDs, etc. It has a user-friendly shopping experience connecting to Authorize.net – a leading payment gateway. Newsletter signup eventually add users to an email service called Cooler.
