In 2003, the Dia Art Foundation opened Dia:Beacon, a 300,000 sq ft museum to house its renowned permanent collection of major works of art from the 1960s to the present. We were commissioned to create a logo system that could unify all branches of their organization and a series of materials for their new spaces. We developed a design system for their printed materials as well as retail packaging, advertising, and collateral for the opening of the Dia:Beacon space. Responding to the clean and spare qualities of the spaces, we also developed environmental graphics and signage system using simple materials including wood, glass, concrete, and silkscreen.
