Red Robin Mobile Website
iPhone

The Red Robin website needed a mobile friendly version since their original site has flash components that do not work well with mobile devices. Based on analytics, over 55% of mobile users were on iPhones, so we decided to start on that particular platform while focusing on the 4 main content buckets the users were using the most:

1. Locations / Contact Info
2. Menu
3. Special Offers
4. Social Network

By simplifying the website, we were able to create a mobile website that was not only highly efficient, but took advantage of the devices' specific functions, further improving the user's experience.
Mobile landing page
All of the Red Robin mobile site content is location specific, however, we didn't want the user to feel like we were stopping them from using the site before they even began, so we placed the location finder as a second step, while keeping the homepage full of options.
Once a location is entered, a list appears, allowing the user to select the store they want. At any given point, the user has the opportunity to change their location with a single click, or return to the main menu.
Once a specific store is selected, the user can map directions or call with a single click, or view that specific store's menu and promotional items.
The menu is broken down into categories to help the user navigate through the long list quickly, keeping images down to a minimum for fast loading times. Again, changing locations is available with one click.
If the user clicks on a specific menu item, a picture appears with a description and price point.
Promotional items are similar to menu items with a large photo, price point and description.
