Zarre, a magazine for the magnificently bizarre. The assignment for my Typography III class was to completely create my own magazine mock up. Zarre Magazine is an alternative style magazine that follows the not-so-trendy trends of the American alternative scene. Zarre takes the initiative to bring light to topics that may often be admired, but not often deeply looked into—Zarre focuses on indie, pop-punk, and alternative music, hair dye, tattoos, and other miscellaneous edgy topics surrounding this specific target audience. Zarre’s target audience is 90% 17 — 29 year olds, 75% women, and medium income households; typically Zarre’s audience exercise alternative style, but on rare occasions people read for an inside look on a lifestyle that they may not understand, or are too nervous to initiate.
