Connecting Maine to the 21st Century

Metro will be one of the largest infrastructure projects ever undertaken by the State of Maine. From Kittery to Old Town, Metro will be your best way to travel.

Metro is made of two primary systems, Metro Trains and Metro Trams.

Metro Trains will offer quick, easy and affordable access to much of Maine. With commuter schedules to the State’s largest cities and extended services beyond, Metro’s service will connect over one million of Maine’s citizens.

The Peninsula Loop will serve as the hub of all Metro Train services. All services will enter the Loop and progress counter-clockwise to all stations, providing easy interchange between all Metro Trains and Metro Trams.

Mainline services will run on 10 minute intervals during the rush periods (6a - 9a; 3p-6p) and 20 minute intervals from 4:30a to 12:30a. Final service will depart from all terminal stations at 12:30a.

All Extended Service Stations recieve a minimum of three round-trip services a day, many receive even more!

Metro Trams will be a perfect solution for navigating the crowded and winding streets of Portland. With ten routes, Metro Trams will bring you to the hottest destinations on the Peninsula and everywhere in-between!

With three trams an hour each route, much of the Peninsula will be accessible in under ten minutes.
