Parques en Movimiento started as a local friends and neighbors effort to revitalize public parks and spaces. The effort later became a permanent public program. The name Parques en Movimiento translates to Parks in Movement in english. The thought behind it is to mobilize the small clusters of people, neighbors and friends into taking responsibility and initiative for the public spaces around them. The objective of the Movement is not only to restore and maintain the quality of local parks, but also to create more green spaces.
