During my years as a waitress, I noticed more and more people

glued to their devices during dinner. It even seemed as if some 

people didn’t even speak to each other the entire time they were 

there, and I was asked for the WiFi password more time in a night 

than I could count. While growth in technology is an amazing thing, 

there is a time and place to unplug. To help remind people of this, 

I designed a pop-up that would appear on the WiFi login page for 

places like restaurants to use.
