Das Anta - Russian Imperial Stout

So, this good friend of mine (who is a graphic designer and my former teacher as well) also is a beer brewer and he was up to come with a new brand. The brand would be a hommage to the "River of the Tapirs" near his hometown. Suiting his taste for rock'n'roll, he asked me to draw a punkster tapir as the mascot of the brand.

Some hours later and he was glad to see I was going in the right direction.
The most relevant obstacle I had was to represent the tapir nose right, so I have made some samples to see what he would like most:
After showing the samples, I had to mend here and there and we came up to this result:
I have made the final vectors, a grayscaled one so he could apply wherever he needs;
a black and white comic-styled one as he asked in his initial request;
and the colorized one which he applied in the beer label.

And this is the final result:
I'm so glad to make part of this project because, first of all, I love to draw cartoonish animals and this is the first tapir I have ever drawn and published.

Second of all, At times I appreciate nicely homebrewed beers and this dude makes his with care. It is nice to contribute to something you like.

Third of all, he is a good friend and I'm glad he invited me to draw his mascot.

Cheers!
