For a color theory class, we were to take a master painter or illustrator that used the painting medium and analyze how they solved problems concerning style, color, and composition. Using J.C. Leyendecker's oil sketch Golf or Tennis, I painted a portrait of me and my significant other to represent not only my love for her, but replicate the intimacy that Leyendecker so masterfully portrays in his own work.
