Credit Union - Group Project
2012

We were assigned a project designed by another student. Taking into consideration the design intention of that student, we were ask as a team asked to bring the project forward.
The design was inspired by modern Japanese architecture and its aesthetic is of a floating plane tied to the ground by a multitude of thin columns.
The structure, the rooflights details, the glazing system were the focus as well as materiality, circulation, and column arrangement. A waffle structure enabled us to puncture the roof to allow light in the centre of the bank hall, the columns arrangement directed the users, the indoor/outdoor limits were seemless with a glass facade with hidden frames and blurred by the columns and furniture.
