Behind The Design
The New Bedford Whale was project I did for assignment in college. The assignment was to find a town 100 years ago and make the beer label design off of what the town was famous for. New Bedford, Massachusetts was known for whaling back in the day. With that in mind, I tried to make the label have similar characteristics to Hired Guns’ (company that makes amazing beer labels) design, “Fat Tug IPA.” I wanted the label to show how tough the whaling industry was.
