This design was commissioned by an armorer so that he could offer a Celtic 'upgrade' on his standard fighting helmet. I created the line art, which was then transferred to metal and etched by Chuck Hacking, and finally , the helmet was crafted by Greg McCain. 

Note that the rivets line up aesthetically with obvious portions of the design, such as the wolf's eye. This art combines 3 different Celtic styles: spiral, key pattern and zoomorphic, with an early period basketweave fill.
