Structures of Memory

Why do we remember and why do we forget? Our memory contains our psyche, our soul, the power of the person. The human brain, one of the most complex living structures in the universe, is the seat of memory and can be referred to as one of the last great unexplored frontiers. We are constantly looking outwards for understanding but rarely examine ourselves. This is my senior thesis: an exploration into the elusive mechanism that is memory.
