This project began as with a simple question, "What went wrong?" I was asked to investigate and research how the opioid crisis in New England came to be. I chose to focus on what has been most recently causing the scale of overdoses to rise, fentanyl. This new form of opioid may not sound too familiar to you but it isn't to be underestimated. Having surpassed heroin as the leading cause of overdoses in New England fentanyl has become the biggest threat during the crisis. This includes a history of the drug Fentanyl and how to rose to popularity as a street drug.
