Kaksoissidos is a novel about love and care. The story tells what happens when a family member gets diagnosed with Alzheimer . It shows the difficulties of getting care in civilized society and the agony that this disease brings. The three women in the story are tied to each others and the past with painful bonds.
Kaksoissidos is a sad story about loneliness and the need of being loved. At the same time it is a promise of forgiving.
The book is strongly based on the author’s own experience of caring for an Alzheimer patient, though the people in the story are fictional.
